Job Purpose

DHL is looking for a Category Manager to join our Air Capacity Sales (ACS) Procurement team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of key sourcing categories that support DHL's air freight business. You will work closely with business stakeholders, procurement colleagues across regions, and strategic suppliers to develop sourcing strategies, drive value, and support business growth.

In this role, you will combine market insight, supplier management, and commercial negotiations to help deliver the best outcomes for DHL while building strong partnerships both internally and externally.

The ACS sourcing scope mainly includes:

• Ground Handling / Warehouse Handling (GHA)

• General Sales Agents (GSA)

Your tasks

• Support key business initiatives by providing market intelligence, sourcing expertise, and procurement guidance.

• Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and help deliver value through effective supplier management.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business stakeholders.

• Lead supplier negotiations and support the establishment of local and regional agreements.

• Collaborate with procurement and business teams across regions to identify best practices and drive process harmonization.

• Ensure procurement activities support business requirements in terms of quality, service, and cost efficiency.

• Support the sourcing of goods, services, and transportation capacities while ensuring continuity of supply.

• Contribute to supplier risk assessments and sustainability evaluations.

• Manage contracts and support the implementation of new contractual approaches when required.

• Stay up to date on market developments and industry trends within your categories.

Your profile

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• More than 4 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or a related field.

• Experience in Air Cargo, Aviation or international logistics services are beneficial.

• Experience managing suppliers and leading commercial negotiations.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and regions.

• A proactive mindset and strong analytical skills.

• The ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment.

• Fluency in English.
