The Airline Partnerships team is responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of our airline partnership portfolio within Icelandair. We are looking for an Airline Partnerships Specialist who will play a key role in managing and enhancing relationships with partner airlines and ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing performance of Special Prorate Agreements (SPAs), interline and codeshare partnerships. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Sales, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Distribution, Customer Experience, and Regulatory Affairs.
This is a fast-paced, fun, highly rewarding and challenging role suited to someone with excellent analytical skills coupled with sharp commercial acumen.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake commercial negotiations and manage ongoing relationships between Icelandair and its commercial airline partners
- Conduct analysis to assess the performance and effectiveness of partner agreements and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Lead implementations of new partnerships, from preparing agreements and operating procedures to managing communications with key stakeholders
- Set up and maintain codeshare and special prorate agreements (SPA) with partners.
- Contribute to the development of partnerships performance reporting
- Develop and regularly review documented processes and best practices associated with partnerships
Qualifications:
- A university degree fit for purpose
- Knowledge and understanding of airline pricing, revenue management principles and concepts, airline partnerships and distribution approaches
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present large volumes of data
- Ability to show initiative and to get involved and lead projects as needed
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English, both written and verbal
