Breeze Airways is looking for Technical Representatives to support our Recovery operations. These Tech Reps are based in our Recovery bases, and travel will be provided to/from Recovery locations to support assigned Breeze Recovery Aircraft Operations. The Recovery Tech Reps are responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations of Breeze Recovery aircraft, including troubleshooting, performing run-up and taxi procedures, and signing mechanical fixes Recovery flights perform timely manner.
Breeze has the youngest fleet for a U.S. air carrier, and we need innovative, excellent mechanical talent to maintain our modern fleet for our Recovery operations. Our Tech Reps will ensure our ultimate safety and airworthiness. We are seeking experienced aircraft maintenance professionals who will play a vital role towards the success of our Recovery operations.

Here’s what you’ll do

The Technical Representative for Recovery Operations will be a part of the Recovery Operation ensuring the airworthiness and safety of our aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and Breeze Recovery policy and procedures. They remain well-versed with contracted business partners to ensure streamlined maintenance resolutions.

  • Perform all assigned work coming due on the Recovery Operation Aircraft
  • Work closely with OCC and Recovery Pilots to resolve any issues in a timely manner
  • Unrestricted engine run & taxi on the Breeze aircraft Recovery Fleet
  • Assist other company departments to support requirements of Recovery operations,
  • Responsible and accountable for all work performed and recovery plans executed
  • Prioritize the safety of clients and flight crew
  • Maintain high-level guest services
  • Properly handle all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft while in the repair process
  • Ensure that all documentation is kept current as to open discrepancies and completed corrective actions
  • Complete all associated and required documentation for all maintenance work performed or inspections conducted accurately and correctly
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean, and operative condition and ensure all tools are accounted for at completion of all assigned tasks
  • Properly care for and use tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance
  • Notify the Manager of Recovery Maintenance operations
  • Maintain a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, or Repairman Certificate, and keep the certificate available for inspection by the FAA, NTSB, or Breeze Supervisor/Manager
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Recovery Management
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
  • Must hold a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types
  • 3+ years in commercial airline or charter operations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must meet recency requirements per 14 CFR 65.83
  • Must be flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours if needed
  • Must be willing to travel on assigned charter flights for multiple days at a time
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance or Business Degree preferred
  • Understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR part 121/135 operations
  • International Charter Ops Experience
  • Experience maintaining Airbus A220 and Learjet family aircraft
  • Familiar with Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as CAMP

Skills/Talents

  • Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate to Tech Ops and Charter Ops Leadership
  • Must be able to handle high-stress situations

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds (with assistance as needed)
  • Climb ladders, work stands, and aircraft structures, and work at elevated heights
  • Work in confined spaces, awkward positions, and varying weather conditions on the ramp or in the hangar
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle components, requiring manual dexterity
  • Adequate vision to inspect closely and hearing to detect unusual sounds; exposure to noise and fumes
