STS Technical Services is hiring a Split Shift Weld Supervisor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Due to continued growth, our client has an immediate opening for a Split Shift Weld Supervisor to lead a skilled welding and fabrication team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in driving quality, efficiency, and team development.
Split Shift Hours: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily activities of MIG welders and fabricators, delegating job responsibilities to the appropriate employees
Train, mentor, and motivate staff to meet demanding manufacturing requirements and production schedules
Assist with tasks as necessary to complete assignments accurately and on time
Test products and equipment for defects or malfunctions and ensure corrective actions are taken
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures
Communicate process updates, procedural changes, and quality expectations to all team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility on the shop floor
Proven ability to measure, compare, and perform complex shop calculations to ensure compliance with engineering and sales specifications
Previous experience working with and reading blueprints required
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing production demands
Prior experience working with steel materials is a plus
Demonstrated leadership experience managing and motivating shop floor employees to meet quality and delivery goals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting customer expectations
