Role Introduction
Reports to: IT Practice Manager
Drive the development and continuous improvement of IT practices that enable quality outcomes, stronger collaboration, and more effective delivery across Cathay's technology organisation. You will lead communities of practice, maintain and enhance methodologies, frameworks, processes and toolsets, and ensure alignment with broader Information Technology governance and Enterprise Project Management Office processes.
Working closely with practitioners, delivery teams and stakeholders, you will coach, advise and train colleagues while championing the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement. Success in the role comes from combining deep practical expertise with strong stakeholder management, influencing skills and a commitment to raising capability across the organisation.
Alongside practice leadership, you will play a key role in developing future technology talent through ownership of the Information Technology Graduate Trainee and Internship Programme, leading recruitment, onboarding, rotations, coaching and engagement initiatives. Your contribution will help build a culture of learning, excellence and innovation that supports Cathay's long-term technology ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and continuously improve Information Technology practice methodologies, frameworks, processes and toolsets to support effective delivery and quality outcomes
Identify industry best practices and innovations, assess their suitability, and drive their adoption within the Cathay environment
Monitor practice effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance adoption and performance
Define and manage quality management frameworks, including practice health checks, lessons learned activities and performance reviews
Coach, advise and support practitioners and teams in applying practice standards, frameworks and ways of working
Design and deliver training programmes, capability development initiatives and practitioner engagement activities to strengthen organisational capability
