Position Summary The Aircraft Avionics Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing avionics and electrical systems on aircraft. This includes radar, radio, navigation, communication, and control systems. The role supports maintenance, modification, and repair activity while ensuring compliance with approved technical data and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters Troubleshoot electrical and electronic system malfunctions and performance issues Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components and assemblies using hand tools and soldering equipment Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems using hand tools, power tools, and soldering irons Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional testing of avionics systems Assemble electrical components including switches, controls, junction boxes, and wiring assemblies Connect avionics components such as radio systems, instruments, magnetos, inverters, and related systems Lay out and perform installations using blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation Interpret test and performance data to diagnose system malfunctions Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and other maintenance personnel Fabricate parts, components, and test aids as required Assemble prototypes or models of circuits, instruments, and systems for testing Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records in accordanc…
