Why United Rotorcraft? Based in Englewood, Colorado , United Rotorcraft designs and modifies mission-critical aircraft supporting military, air medical, firefighting, law enforcement, and other specialized operations. As a Systems Engineer 3 , you’ll help define and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, technical risks, and safety documentation for complex aircraft modification programs. You’ll collaborate across engineering teams to ensure requirements are captured, allocated, and successfully carried through the entire program lifecycle. Pay Salary Range: $114,000 – $142,000 annually Actual compensation is based on relevant experience, education, technical expertise, certifications, and overall qualifications. This position is also eligible for Air Methods’ comprehensive employee benefits package. Responsibilities During the NPI Propose Phase: Collaborate with Sales and Business Development Team to define, manage, and provide technical leadership to commercial or military projects within the Engineering Department to assure technical project compliance with budget, schedule and performance by leading airframe, subsystem, and component level requirement capture, memorialization, and management processes and tools across mechanical and electrical engineering teams, utilizing a “right-size” approach to ensure efficiency across a wide range of project / program complexity and applications. During the NPI Propose Phase: Interface with customers during project / program initiation to architect subsystems and components. During the NPI Propose Phase: Define, memorialize, and manage system and subsystem interface control documents and requirements in SysML software platform. During the NPI Propose Phase: Collaborate with Project Engineering to facilitate project System Requirements Reviews (SRR) (Feasibility/ Conceptual) to ensure alignment between customer aircraft/ system and internal subsystems. Ensure complete and accurate project specifications throughout project lifecycle.
