What You Will Do
The Sensor Applications Engineering discipline seeks talented Engineers. Our team located in Middletown, CT provides a wide variety of instrumentation related support including the creation of installation drawings, sensor calibration, and support for data recording. The sensor engineer will work closely with each CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team) to ensure their instrumentation requirements are understood and fully realized in the final delivered test product. Close alignment is ensured with both the assembly and test teams by the sensor engineer who assists in coordinating schedule and supporting the assembly of every instrumented part to the test asset. Sensor Application Engineers works collaboratively across organizations to provide quality instrumentation and testing solutions for dozens of gas-turbine tests a year for all of Pratt and Whitney’s engine programs. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.
