Purpose of Position The DevOps Engineer proactively and holistically participates in and supports architecture/engineering activities that guide the development and management of technical Engineering and Simulation solutions. These solutions enable the organization's future-state business capabilities and drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. Technologies include data center, infrastructure, cloud, mobile, AI, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, edge computing, and immersive experiences technologies. In addition, the DevOps Engineer creates deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (reusable standards, guidelines, individual parts, platforms, and configurations) for evolving the technical infrastructure across the engineering space to enable business strategy and deliver targeted business outcomes. Tasks and Responsibilities Core Engineering Reliability & Availability: Ensure all systems meet business and customer needs for high uptime, robust performance, and consistent service delivery. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write modular, version-controlled infrastructure configurations (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Terraform) to build scalable, secure on prem or cloud environments. Observability & Performance Management: Design, monitor, and manage application performance and service quality to proactively catch system anomalies.
