What you'll do

- Leads, mentors, and develops Instructors, supporting their success in the role and their growth at American
- Manages the successful execution of ILT, virtual instructor-led (VILT) and other ad-hoc training delivery
- Identifies and prioritizes all Cargo course offerings
- Manages Instructor team member schedules to ensure training needs are efficiently met for all the global Cargo terminals
- Partners with Skyview 5 (SV5) and Skyview 6 (SV6) Management to ensure operational efficiency while maintaining a professional learning environment
- Ensures that station and vendor requests for in station training needs are appropriately prioritized and met
- Assists and supports department leader in a collaborative and developmental manner when applicable
- Assists in the development and updating of cargo curriculum
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with cargo operations
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Proven success leading teams, building effective relationships, and collaborating across a wide variety of cross functional teams and initiatives
- Proficiency in MS Suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, Learning Hub, Concur and iCargo application
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to articulate complex requirements
- Previous airport management experience in Cargo and/or Station Operations
- Program management experience & prior experience in the field of learning and development a plus
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Proficiency in MS Suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, Learning Hub and iCargo application
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to articulate complex requirements
- Proven collaboration skills working across cross functional teams
- Must have outstanding organizational and multitasking skills; must be detailed orientated
- Ability to fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Applicable valid driver’s license as required by local authorities, if applicable
