Job Description

L3 Harris is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead classified programs while simultaneously managing and developing a team of experienced program managers within the Global Networks Business Area. The Senior Program Manager will also have responsibility for proposal development, strategic planning, customer engagement, and overall program and portfolio performance. The role owns cost, schedule, technical performance, risk posture, and customer satisfaction for assigned programs and serves as a senior leader influencing cross-functional execution. The Senior Program Manager will also be responsible for communication within and outside of L3Harris.

Essential Functions

  • Own cost, schedule, resourcing, contractual compliance, and technical performance for multiple production, development, or field-support programs.
  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion, including design concepts, criteria setting, development, integration, test, and production.
  • Conduct regular program reviews covering earned value, cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk management.
  • Conduct briefings for senior leaders and customers on a variety of topics to include comprehensive status reporting and program metrics.
  • Manage, mentor, and provide consultative guidance to Lead Program Managers and cross-functional program teams.
  • Drive achievement of business and financial objectives including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy, contractual requirements, applicable regulations, and industry standards
  • Partner with Business Development on key pursuits and lead proposal development efforts through negotiations and contract award.
  • Manage program risks and opportunities by developing, implementing, and tracking mitigation strategies
  • Partner with Supply Chain to manage key subcontractor activity that is critical to overall program performance
  • Communicate effectively within and outside of L3Harris, including with strategic partners in industry and government
  • U.S. citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
  • Up to 20% of travel may be expected

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of related experience; or Graduate Degree with 10+ years; or 16+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication, negotiation, customer-facing, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in program scheduling, production program management, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR, DPAS rated contracts, and DoW customer environments
  • Experience with and knowledge of space domain platforms and customers
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with broad-based consideration of organizational impact
  • Experience managing large development and production programs
  • Experience in different phases of project and program management, from proposal and ensuing negotiations through contract award, project planning, project execution and closeout
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and its application
  • Demonstrated experience with the program integrated master schedule (IMS), including data input/output and progress tracking on the program.
