OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Senior Executive Procurement & Logistics oversees the purchasing of equipment, parts, and materials, by seeking for competitive market costs and is responsible for the development of procurement strategies to meet airline requirements. The Senior Executive Procurement & Logistics is responsible for researching key suppliers, negotiating purchase agreements, and ensuring all products and materials meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the day-to-day running of the Procurement and Logistics section.
• Responsible for a team of supply chain administrators.
• Regular reporting of work progress to the Head Procurement and Logistics.
• Processing of System and Aircraft Maintenance requisitions, issuing of RFQs, price negotiations, quote selection, ordering, order follow-ups, shipping, and invoice processing.
• Monitoring Supplier performance and carrying out Supplier Performance Appraisals.
• Assisting Management on Procurement, Logistics or Maintenance projects.
• Carrying out Inventory Control, Receiving Parts Inspection, Audit, and store transaction duties when necessary.
• Assist internal and external auditors as and when necessary, and take any necessary corrective actions to mitigate findings.
• Coordinate with the Administrators to carry out regular stock checks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Work experience in procurement and contracts will be an asset.
• Ability to learn and use software systems used within the department.
• Basic technical aptitude and good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
