Viva is the leading ultra-low-cost airline in the Americas, recognized as one of the most preferred, fun, and profitable airlines, with the youngest fleet in Latin America and one of the fastest-growing fleets worldwide.
We foster a culture of inclusion, passion, and transparency by challenging traditional ways of working, redefining the industry, and committing ourselves to service excellence and passenger safety.
Position: Loyalty Business Strategy Lead
The Loyalty Business Strategy Lead owns the business strategy agenda of the loyalty unit: where the program competes, the sectors and partner profiles the network needs, the bets that deserve investment and the risks that threaten the plan.
The position turns that direction into business theses and plans ready for execution, arbitrates them against member relevance, commercial viability and program economics, and answers for the integrated reading of the unit’s performance and for the value narrative that positions the program’s contribution within Viva.
Key Responsibilities
• Define Doters’ business strategy agenda, including the sectors in which it should compete, the partner profiles it needs to onboard, and the business models it should adopt.
Develop the market, industry, and competitive intelligence required to support the program’s strategic decisions.
Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities that could affect or accelerate the business unit’s growth.
Build the value proposition for the program’s different partnership models, including points-earning partnerships, co-branded cards, and transfer agreements.
Assess the strategic relevance, commercial viability, profitability, and scalability of new partnerships and business opportunities.
Prioritize the business unit’s portfolio of initiatives and recommend where to invest, which initiatives to scale, and which ones to discontinue.
Challenge the business cases, assumptions, and expected returns proposed by execution teams before committing resources.
Align proposals with Member Strategy to validate their relevance to members and with Strategic Finance to confirm their profitability and economic rationale.
Consolidate commercial, financial, and member results to provide a comprehensive view of Doters’ performance.
Lead the business review cycle and translate performance deviations, risks, and gaps into decisions and corrective actions.
Develop the value narrative needed to communicate and position Doters’ contribution within Viva.
Prepare analyses, recommendations, and executive presentations for Viva directors, C-level leaders, and external partners.
Ensure clear ownership, commitments, and delivery dates across Product, Technology, Operations, Customer Experience, Commercial, and other involved teams.
Evaluate actual results against approved business cases and drive corrective actions when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–4+ years of experience in Strategy, Finance, Business Planning, Consulting, Corporate Finance, or a similar field.
- Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills.
- Experience developing business cases and financial models in Excel.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build executive-level presentations from scratch.
- Experience presenting analyses and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience in data analysis and SQL is preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with loyalty programs is preferred.
- We are looking for an autonomous, organized, and curious professional with critical-thinking skills, learning agility, and a strong results-oriented mindset.
