GSE Maintenance Workshop Team Member - Keflavík Airport

Icelandair is seeking a motivated and positive individual to join the GSE Maintenance Workshop team at Keflavík Airport.

The role involves the maintenance and inspection of equipment and machinery used in aircraft ground handling operations and related activities. A strong emphasis is placed on a service-oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all equipment used in aircraft ground handling operations, both at Keflavík Airport and at domestic airports throughout Iceland
• Record and maintain documentation in the maintenance management system
• Perform various tasks related to airport ground support equipment used in flight operations
• Carry out other miscellaneous duties as required

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment is highly valued
• Vocational education or training in a relevant field such as electronics, automotive mechanics, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Experience with troubleshooting, vehicle electrical systems, and mechanical repairs is desirable
• Excellent command of English; proficiency in Icelandic is considered an advantage.
• Computer literacy
• Valid driver's license - heavy equipment operating licenses are an advantage.
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Clean criminal record
