Position Description

Reporting to the Head of Technology Innovation, the Group Technology Project Lead is primarily responsible for driving the research, evaluation, and delivery of assigned technology product streams. This role requires a strong command of current technology market trends and R&D insights, translating them into actionable product directions and ensuring end-to-end project delivery within the defined product scope. This role also works closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, cross-functional teams, while maintaining a focused level of stakeholder engagement primarily at the operational and team levels.

What You'll Do

  • Product Delivery and Project Execution
    • Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of assigned technology product streams, ensuring milestones, timelines, and quality standards are met
    • Coordinate day-to-day project activities across development, testing, and deployment phases within the agile delivery framework
    • Maintain and refine the product backlog for assigned product streams in collaboration with Business Analysts, ensuring user stories are well-defined with clear acceptance criteria
    • Track and report on project delivery status, risks, and issues, escalating blockers in a timely manner
    • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective sessions, driving a results-oriented delivery culture within the team
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Requirement Management
    • Engage with operational-level end users and functional team leads across HAECO Group to gather and validate product requirements
    • Work alongside Business Analysts to ensure business requirements are thoroughly captured, translated into product features, and clearly communicated to development teams
    • Collaborate with internal and external vendors to validate technical feasibility and align on solution design
    • Using facts, data, and analysis to make hard decisions and trade-offs, especially related to resource allocation and prioritization of work within the Technology Product Delivery Team
  • ​​​Supporting and enabling the Technology Product Delivery Team to get its work done
    • Regularly engaging with the Technology Product Delivery Team to offer feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and answer questions
    • Engage with functional teams to ensure resource availability and alignment with governance standards
    • Collaborate with Group and Entity IT teams, external technology partners and key stakeholders to maintain visibility on project execution and risks
    • Identify, address and remove blockers or impediments that may impact project timelines, ensuring transparency in reporting and risk mitigation
    • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, coordinate defect management, and ensure resolution aligns with product acceptance standards
    • Continuously identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, product quality, and team collaboration within the product delivery lifecycle
  • Enabling the Agile way of working
    • Modelling behaviours to support the organization’s transformation to a new way of working
    • Actively creating and maintaining the culture within the Technology Product Delivery Team based on the organization and Agile leadership behaviours
    • Helping embed the “nervous system” of the Agile way of working (new governance practices, collaboration model, etc.) within the organization

1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Possess 6 years of experience managing technology products or solutions
  • Demonstrate proven experience in leading and implementing technology projects
  • Demonstrate proven ability to work independently on delivery initiatives, taking ownership of outcomes and driving execution with minimal supervision, while effectively managing priorities, stakeholders, and delivery challenges
  • Experienced in Agile delivery methodologies and backlog management, as well as exposure to proof-of-concept (PoC) development and R&D evaluation to support solution validation and innovation efforts
  • Capable of releasing global products that meet regulatory requirements

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Strong technology literacy with Bachelor or above Degree in Engineering, Technology Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or business-related fields
  • Certified PMP or Prince 2 is a plus
  • Strong technical acumen with research skillset and a deep analytical mindset
  • Familiarity with technology product development lifecycle, change manage, and feature-driven development practices
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Experience in business process re-engineering or solution design will be a plus
  • Experience in aviation MRO industry is an advantage
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
