Key Responsibilities

  • Ground Operations - Flight turnaround planning and coordination
    • Pre-flight preparation: Monitoring and coordinating flight schedules, arrival/departure times, expected ground times with CV Network management, Operations control, local airports and service providers.
    • Inbound cargo planning and arrangements: Checking inbound messages (FFM/CPM) and send instructions to the GHA.
    • Export Cargo coordination: Coordinating planned export cargo and build up planning, if applicable.
    • Turnaround planning/supervision: Planning and coordinating aircraft turnaround in coordination with all local service providers (GHAs, fuel company, de-icing provider, etc.).
    • Flight Load Planning/Loading Supervision (weight & balance): Preparing and issuance of load sheet and loading instructions by using the CV weight and balance software by qualified staff. Loading supervision, signing off the load sheet by qualified staff.
    • Crew/Pax transport, crew hotel arrangements: Planning and coordinating crew/Pax transport, hotel arrangements and crew wakeup call.
    • Crew briefing for outbound flight: Provision of all required documents, Gendec, load sheets, Notoc, Pax manifest, etc.
    • Post-flight follow-up and messaging: Issuing e-flight reports, customs data transmission, flight close out messages, etravel.
  • Cargo Operations
    • Cargo Handling: Monitoring/supervising/coordinating cargo handling processes (acceptance, storage, build up, break down) at local GHA.
    • Daily planning, monitoring: Pre-advises, FBLs, trucking requirements, special handling.
    • ULD build up: Planning, coordination with GHA & Route management/Lux Hub; record keeping, stats.
    • Special handling: Special/off-size cargo.
    • Spot checks: Weight & volume checks, non-stackable cargo.
    • Irregularity management: Support/coordinate/make arrangements with GHAs and relevant stations or departments for: missing, found, misrouted, damaged, mis-declared cargo, temperature deviations, claims, safety or security incidents.
  • ULD control
    • Monitoring of stock levels / SCM: Regular update by GHAs.
    • Forwarding of empty equipment (EIC): Forward on flights/trucks in coordination with ULD control / Unilode.
  • GHA Monitoring
    • Daily follow up: Review daily situation, workload, potential issues.

Essential Requirements

  • Good English language skills.
  • Bachelor degree required.
  • It skills (MS office, etc).
  • Ramp/aircraft handling experience would be an advantage.
  • Aircraft weight & balance / load control experience would be an advantage.

Working Conditions

  • The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs.
  • During aircraft turnaround the position holder will have to work on the airport apron, during day or night time and in adverse weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • On-call availability may be required.
  • Flexibility is needed with working hours. The position holder shall keep informed his/her line manager on his/her whereabouts and the means of telecommunications through which he will be reachable for urgent company needs.
